I recently put together a Demo Reel from the past couple years at the Dalton Agency. I feel it's good practice to stay current on your reels. If nothing else, you'll learn a lot from seeing your work collaged together. You can really see the themes often used at the agency.
Most all my work on the reel was completed in C4d and AE.

This was my first real collaboration with our Atlanta office at The Dalton Agency. I was pretty please with the outcome of the spot. It's very simple, clean and effective. I edited and created the graphics for the spot. I had the pleasure of working in close contact with the creative director, Tony Messano. Nice guy. The rest of the team was as follows: Cinematographer: Michael Hodges, Sound Design: Scott Whittier, Additional Design: Devon Suter and Kurt Miller.

McDonald's Dollar Drinks
I was fortunate enough to be able to help Creative Direct and Animate the McDonald's Dollar Drink Campaign for the South East Markets of the US. Dalton's Executive Creative Officer, Kevyn, gave me free reign on the look and feel of the spot.
I created the animation in C4d and composited it in AE. Sound design was created in ProTools by the talented Scott Whittier.

Had the pleasure of working with EC Purchasing. Such nice people. I wrote, directed and animated this video. Scott Whittier did the amazing sound mix. As always click the bottom image to watch. Thanks for viewing.
Colt Assault Rifles, what more can a guy ask for. Colt has been a dream client. Not only do I get to create work for one of the best gun manufacturers in the world, I also get to shoot them every now and then.
Pat McKinney, Michael Hancock and I put this video together to land the account. The client loved it so much they purchased it on the spot.
VO and sound design by the talented, Scott Wittier.

The Butterfly Hollow Campaign for The Jacksonville Zoo was one of my favorite projects of the year. Our team at the Dalton Agency was really on their game. I took the creative team's design elements and built the Butterfly Hollow world in C4D. Admittedly, the book gave me problems at first, but once I figured it out the outcome was well worth the extra hours.
Created in C4d and AE.

I had creative lead on Bealls Outlet Back To School. My goal was to create a fun energetic spot that showed off Bealls Outlet in a fresh light.
The video was shot on the Arri Alexa. The footage was composited in AE with a splash of C4d on the graphics.

You can see some early concept art for the McDonald's McBites spot. My first thought was to have a quirky street performer juggling the McBites. After a quick conversation with the Art Director and McDonalds we changed directions to make the character more urban. I fashioned him after a Kanye West photo I saw, pre KK. One of the highlights of my career has been working as an editor and animator for Bealls. It gave me the opportunity to work with Red Raw files for the first time, and introduced me to the hardest working man in the business, CineBob. Bob is a joy to work with and a master at his craft.
In this video you can see Bob and the Dalton crew giving it our all for Bealls.

I've been working with I Wear Your Shirt off and on for a couple years. Jason is a marketing genius and all around fun guy. You should check out his team and all their tomfoolery here. Jason is what you'd call a dream client. He lets you have fun, and be as creative as possible. I wrote and animated this spot. It was fun to see what Jason would let me get away with. At the end of the day it was a fun project to be a part of.
Sound design and voice over was done by the equally awesome Scott Whittier. I've also developed some illustrations for them over the years. You can check them out below too. As always click on the last couple images to watch the video.

I don't know it all, but what I do know I love to share with anyone who will listen. I've spent the majority of my life teaching many subjects. At 14 I started teaching martial arts and got hooked. I taught college courses for about 5 years but felt held back by rules and regulations. So I decided to make my own tutorials. Here are my most popular ones with more to come.
If you have any questions or would like me to cover a certain topic contact me and I'd be happy to help you when I get the time.

Night of the Groomsmen
Comic books by nature are one of the most difficult and time consuming art forms out there. It takes many long hours in a room by yourself. Having said that, I love every bit of it. This is my comic, Night of the Groomsmen, I pitched to Image Comics. Check out my blog here to learn more about the process. You'll get to read about the amazing individuals I was fortunate enough to work with, plus you'll get to read my thoughts on what worked and what didn't.
Marvel/Upper Deck Sketch Cards
UPDATE: New Marvel Premier Series II Sketch Cards! More to come.
I often wonder how I have been so blessed to work on so many great projects. I was selected to create sketch cards for Marvel's Avengers Assemble and Marvel Beginnings II card series from Upper Deck. I had so much fun drawing my favorite characters from the Marvel Universe. It was a challenge going back to drawing traditionally since I've been drawing mostly digital over the past 5 years, but a happy challenge none-the-less. I share the series with so many great artists and I'm proud to be one of them.
I went through a phase where I drew nothing but miniature versions of my favorite characters. It still makes me laugh to this day, but my wife says I can draw better. She's not a fan but I know many of you out there are. If you want to see your favorite character drawn as a "mini" drop me a line on my contact page and I'll do my best to add your request to the gallery.
